Credit lock

Lock guidance for all three.

Per-bureau status and one-tap paths to the official Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion freeze flows. We only show a bureau as locked when it's confirmed — never a fake switch.

Timing tip from God Mode

Financing soon? Freeze after the loan funds, not before the lender pulls. Freezes are free at each bureau; CreditGod guides you to the official flow and tracks status. We never say we locked a bureau unless the lock actually completed.

Questions about this feature

Does CreditGod charge extra to freeze my credit?

No. Security freezes are free at each bureau under federal law, and CreditGod's per-bureau status and guided freeze flows are included in the $39.99 monthly plan.

What's the difference between a freeze, a lock, and a fraud alert?

A freeze is a free legal right that blocks most new-credit checks. A lock works similarly under a provider's terms. A fraud alert asks lenders to verify your identity. See credit freeze vs. credit lock.

Should I freeze my credit before applying for a loan?

Freezes block most new-credit checks, so you'll need to lift the freeze at the bureau your lender uses before you apply. Many people freeze again after the loan funds.

What does identity restoration include?

Members get access to identity restoration of up to $1M through our identity partners, under the partners' terms. Alerts cover dark-web, SSN, and address-change signals where available.
