When to freeze (and when to wait)
Applying for credit soon? Plan around the freeze.
A freeze blocks most new-credit checks. If you're about to finance a car or apartment, God Mode may suggest freezing after the loan funds, or temporarily lifting a freeze for the lender you choose.
Freezes are free at each bureau.
